Who we are
This website and our text message program are run by the Dana Goldman Campaign, which campaigns as Dana Goldman for Mayor (“the campaign,” “we,” “us”), for Dana Goldman’s run for Mayor of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, mobile number, building or street address, and anything you write to us when you sign up for updates, volunteer, request a sign, endorse Dana or contact us.
- Text message consent: if you check the text message box on a sign-up form, we keep a record of that consent, including when you gave it and the version of the terms you agreed to.
- Contribution information: online contributions are processed by Anedot, a third-party payment processor, under its own privacy policy. We receive the information Florida campaign finance law requires (name, address, occupation, employer and amount). We never see or store your card number.
- Technical information: our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to run and secure the site. We do not use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To send campaign updates, event invitations and voting reminders by email.
- To send text messages, only if you opted in to texts.
- To coordinate volunteers, sign deliveries and building visits.
- To answer your messages.
- To comply with Florida campaign finance law.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with service providers that help run the campaign (email, texting, contribution processing and web hosting), only so they can provide those services, and when the law requires it. Contributor information appears in public campaign finance reports, as Florida law requires.
Text messages
We text only people who opted in, for example by checking the text message box on a sign-up form on this site. Messages include campaign updates, event invitations, volunteer opportunities, voting reminders and requests for contributions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. See our text message terms.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies. Our contribution page on Anedot may set its own cookies under Anedot’s policy.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any message. Stop texts by replying STOP. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email info@danagoldmanformayor.com. We can’t remove contributor details from reports the law requires us to file.
Keeping it safe
We keep your information only as long as the campaign needs it or the law requires, and we protect it with reasonable safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive information through our forms.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new date.
